We recommend at least 3 units of Hard Water Conditioners for a typical home.

1.  Insert the two plastic straps on side holes of units.

2.  Place units over the pipe. If straps are too short, lengthen by adding additional straps to end of first straps.

3.  Position units carefully over pipe as you tighten straps.

4.  Any grounding wire on the pipe should be moved to the source of the water (entrance).
     All magnets should be after the ground wire connection.

5.  If magnets are placed in tandem, place the unit rings next to each other with sides
     of the units 1/4-inch apart.

If you have filter(s) or softener:

• 1 goes before the filter on cold water pipe as it enters your house before pipe splits off or after pressure tank (with well).
• 1 unit after the filter or softener on the cold water pipe. If you have both a filter and a water softener, you should have another unit so that you have one after both the filter & softener
• 1 unit after hot water heater on hot water pipe.
   

If you have NO filter(s) or softener:

•  2 units are strapped on the cold water line 1/4-inch apart (in a row) or 2 strapped together - one on each side of pipe - as it enters your house before pipe splits off or after pressure tank (with well).
• 1 unit after the hot water heater on the hot water pipe.
