BACKGROUND - "When the lawn was put in 46 years ago, the sub-soil was sand. In order to retain water, they must have put down at least a foot of humus, which over the years compacted to around six inches. When we moved here four years ago, I tried fertilizing the lawn with limited results.
I even tried aerating, but could not penetrate the compacted soil under the lawn; it was like trying to go through cardboard. The slope of the lawn was another problem. When I did water, it would simply run off the lawn. In addition, the property was a western exposure, which on very hot days, the temperature could reach into the 90's and would bake the lawn. Even in the late spring with our normal amount of rain, the maximum amount of grass clipping would barely fill one catcher.

On or about May 1, 1995, I theorized that since magnetized energy makes water slippery, it would act like a wetting agent and penetrate deep into the compacted soil underneath the lawn turf. This in turn, would stimulate root and grass growth. While my magnetic water equipment certainly cannot be construed as anything scientific, it did prove to my satisfaction it does work. "On about May, 1998, we installed Magnets on the water sprinkler system that we watered our yard with. The first thing we noticed as the ground became more spongy and had more cushion.

The man who takes care of our yard asked what we were doing, because he had noticed that he was getting 4 baskets of grass off of the same size yard of others, and he was getting 12 baskets of grass off ours.

This is the first year in several years that we have not found any grub worms.

I also have Magnets installed on my house water line and hot water heater. I now am using half the amount of soap in my washing machine, and I do not have any soap film smell on my laundry."
