WHOLLY WATER ® The Ultimate Drinking Water Appliance

Our units use a five-stage, multi-media system that is so unique, it's patented! Incorporating the latest advances in water treatment technology, our system removes the widest spectrum of contaminants - SURPASSING the
effectiveness of reverse osmosis and distillation systems costing two to four times more. No ongoing costs for filters or maintenance.

  • Water on demand. No water or energy waste.
  • Removes a wide range of contaminants, including heavy metals.
  • Leaves healthful minerals intact, leaving tastier mineral water.
  • Low maintenance; unit is self-cleaning by a simple backwash.
    (every 2-3 months)
  • NO operating costs.
(Unit will pay for itself over time)
  • System life is 6-10 years for a family of four.
  • 4 micron-rated, anti-channel filter disks. 2 additional self-cleaning filter screens.
Optional add-on 0.5-micron filter eliminates bacteria and microorganisms from your drinking water.

HOW OUR SYSTEM WORKS:

MECHANICAL FILTRATION

Mechanical filtration is achieved with 5 large filter beds with 6 different filter media, by 4-micron-rated Anti-Channel Filter Disks, and also 2 additional self- cleaning filter screens. This type of filtration removes suspended particles such as silt, sediment, sand, rust, dirt, and other undissolved matter.
Optional add-on of 0.5-micron Ceramic post filter eliminates the smallest of microorganisms (cysts, Giardia, Cryptosporidium) and unwanted debris from your drinking water, but allowing the life-giving minerals to remain!

ELECTRO-CHEMICAL/OXIDATION-REDUCTION PROCESS: KDF-55D

The water also passes through a bed of a media made of a special, high-purity alloy blend of two dissimilar metals - copper and zinc. This media, patented in 1987 by KDF Fluid Treatment, Inc.,
is a major advancement in water treatment technology that works on the electro-chemical and spontaneous-oxidation-reduction (redox) principles.

Through this basic chemical process known as redox, (oxidation/reduction), KDF process media works behind the scenes to rid your water of chlorine, lead, mercury, iron and hydrogen sulfide.

Chlorine is instantaneously and almost inexhaustibly oxidized. Tests on our appliance have shown 99.9+% chlorine removal past 20,000 gallons of water while a high quality carbon cartridge of comparable volume drops below 90% effectiveness after only 4,000 gallons.

Iron and hydrogen sulfide are oxidized into insolubable matter and attach to the surface of the media. Heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and aluminum are removed from the water by the electrochemical process. They are attracted to the surface of the media, much like a magnet.

The media also inhibits bacteria, algae, and fungi growth throughout the entire unit (in fact, has been shown to reduce it up to 99%!), eliminating the need for silver commonly used in carbon-only filters (silver is considered a pesticide by the EPA and must be registered with them).

ADSORPTION: GRANULATED ACTIVATED CARBON

Granulated activated carbon (GAC) is universally recognized and widely used as an effective adsorbent for a wide variety of organic contaminants such as herbicides, pesticides, industrial chemicals, and trihalomethanes (THMs).

Carbon is extremely porous and provides a large surface area for contaminants to collect. We use a high-grade coconut shell carbon that is most effective at removing chemicals. Coconut shell carbon provides a significantly higher volume of micropores than either coal, wood, or lignite-based carbon.

As a result, it is more effective than other carbon types in removing trihalomethanes (THMs) and other chemcials from municipally supplied water.
