1.  Insert the two plastic straps on side holes of QUANTUM MAG units.

2.  Place units over the pipe. If straps are too short, lengthen by adding additional straps to end of first straps.

3.  Position units carefully over pipe as you tighten straps.

4.  Any grounding wire on the pipe should be moved to the source of the water (entrance).
     All magnets should be after the ground wire connection.

5.  If QUANTUM MAGS are placed in tandem (next to each other), the unit rings can be as close as 1/4" apart.

Number of magnets needed for each pipe size (inches):

• 1/2” to 1” (1 unit) = 1 ring
• 1-1/2” to 2” (3 units) = 1 ring  (Can add another ring of 3 units)
• 2-1/2” to 3-1/2” (4 units) = 1 ring  (Can add another ring of 4 units)
• 4” to 5” (14 units) = 2 rings of 7 magnets. 
  Another ring may be required if the distance is more than 650 ft.  (200 meters)
• 6” (20 units) = 2 rings of 10 magnets
• 8” (26 units) = 2 rings of 13 magnets
• 10” (30 units) = 2 rings of 15 magnets. 
  May need more if the distance is 1,300 ft. (400 meters)
